Identifying as an American artist I have interest and concern about this/our/my country that trundles further into an uncertain future.  Working with gathered collections, hand me downs, thrifted materials, cycled through, recycled and try-cycled I create expressions/simulations/equations of poverty with an American identity, occasionally embellished with proper materials purchased in a proper way.  With the resulting patch work of heterogeneous materials, I consider the relations/inspirations/desires of belief for change, transformation and acquisition.
